Locals Make Donation to Keep Flemington Police Explorers Moving Forward
FLEMINGTON, NJ – The Flemington Police Explorers, part of the Flemington Borough Police Department, received a donation from local residents to make sure the program remains successful for years to come.
The program, according to Flemington Police Cpl. Louis Hribik, is a youth program to teach boys and girls ages 14 and up about law enforcement.
“The Flemington Police Explorers has been active since the early 1990s,” he said. “Our department has guided young men and women for over 30 years toward a career in law enforcement.”
Hribik said the department currently has nine officers who came from the program, including himself.
“This program has proven to be successful, and I continue to run it to give other young men and women the same dream that it gave me,” he said.
Hribik said Dr. Caesar DePaco and his wife Deanna Padovani-DePaco, of Summit Nutritionals International Inc., are huge law enforcement supporters, and they made a donation of $5,000 to the program.
“Their donation will provide funding to make sure the program remains successful for years to come,” Hribik said.
