César de Paço Awarded Honorary Knight Title

It is with great honor that we announce that Dr. César DePaço has recently been distinguished with the title of Honorary Knight of the Royal Order of São Miguel of the Wing, under the High Patronage of the Portuguese Royal House.

The official ceremony, formalized through the issuance of a Letters Patent by the International Federação Internacional of Reais Irmandades of Real Ordem of São Miguel, took place on June 3, 2023, in Washington, N.Y.C., where he was also granted the title of Professed Brother of the Royal Brotherhood of the Order, within the Archdiocese for Military Services, USA.

This distinction, granted by H.R.H. Dom Duarte Pio de Bragança, acknowledges César DePaço’s merit, dedication, and service in alignment with the historical and spiritual values of the Order, highlighting his commitment to causes of social and cultural significance within the Portuguese-American community and beyond.

The Royal Order of Saint Michael of the Wing is one of the oldest and most prestigious Portuguese chivalric orders, with deep roots in the traditions of the Portuguese monarchy and a mission centered on the defense of faith, nobility, and service to others.
